Week 40 Analysis

Registrations Edge Up but Stay Below 7,000

6,893 new registrations is a 20.5% gain on Week 39, but it is the second consecutive week below 7,000. Over the five weeks from Week 36 to Week 40, 63,532 agents registered, 41.7% fewer than the 108,971 registered in the five weeks from Week 31 to Week 35. Unique owners edged up to 4,957, only modestly above Week 39’s 4,307 low, and agents per owner held at 1.39 (1.33 the week before).

Median Trust Returns to 200 Without a Concentration Spike

The weekly median fell from 465 back to 200, the ninth time in 36 weeks it has landed on exactly 200. In Week 38 that reading came alongside 2.30 agents per owner; this week the ratio was a modest 1.39, so a fleet-style concentration is not what separates this week’s cohort. The median has now moved by more than 260 points in each of the last five weeks (+345, -346, -372, +265, -265), compared with a longest previous run of two such weeks.

The Indexed Population Reaches 518,885 Agents

The registry snapshot now covers 518,885 agents across eight chains and 353,346 distinct owners. BNB Smart Chain accounts for 364,216 agents (70.2%) and Base for 97,722 (18.8%), so the two chains together hold 89.0% of the population; Ethereum adds 52,126 (10.0%), and the remaining five chains total 4,821 agents. The average trust score is 448.4, essentially unchanged from 448.0 in the September 3 snapshot. 138,470 agents (26.7%) score below 200, down from 27.2% in that snapshot, while 124,803 agents (24.1%) sit in the Sovereign tier (800-1000).

Sybil-farm flagged agents now number 83,668, or 16.12% of the population, up from 72,555 (15.41%) in our Week 35 report. That is the first rise in the farm-flagged share since we began publishing this breakdown in Week 32, after three consecutive declines across the first four reports (18.73%, 18.39%, 17.05% and 15.41%). EIP-7702 delegation grew faster still: 30,642 agents (5.91%) against 22,903 (4.86%), an increase of 33.8% on a population that grew 10.2%, making it the fastest-growing of the three flags that each cover more than 1% of agents. FEEDER_UNKNOWN moved the other way, adding 2,455 agents but slipping to 7.15% from 7.36%.

The most serious flags remain rare but moved this period. Agents whose owner was funded by a confirmed rug pull operator rose to 918 from 774 (+144, +18.6%), and one agent now carries the honeypot-funded flag, which stood at zero in our Week 35 report. Agents controlled directly by confirmed rug pull creators dipped by six to 55, and honeypot creators rose by one to 9. Confirmed CEX-funded owners edged up by 10 to 2,835 but fell as a share, from 0.60% to 0.55%, while ERC-6551 token-bound owners rose to 2,442 (0.47%) and Gnosis Safe multisig owners to 20.

About This Tracker

ChainAware.ai’s weekly ERC-8004 agent tracker monitors new agent registrations on the ERC-8004 Identity Registry, the number of unique owner wallets behind those registrations, and the median Agent Trust Score of each week’s registration cohort. Agent Trust Score is a 0-1000 score combining owner wallet fraud probability, feeder address analysis, farm detection, and criminal record checks – see the full Agent Trust Score methodology for how the model scores agents and their controlling wallets. Data is updated weekly alongside ChainAware’s rug pull tracker.

Week 39 Analysis

Registrations Fall to the Lowest Level Since Week 14

5,720 new registrations is a decline of 11,281 agents from Week 38 and the weakest weekly total since Week 14, when 5,362 agents registered. It is also less than a fifth of the Week 34 record of 31,979, set just five weeks earlier. Only Weeks 8 and 14 have recorded fewer registrations in the 35 weeks tracked.

The Owner Base Narrows to Its Lowest Since Week 8

Unique owners fell 41.8% to 4,307, the smallest owner count since Week 8’s 2,082. Registrations fell by more than owners did, so agents per owner reversed the Week 38 spike, dropping 42.2% from 2.30 to 1.33. A concentration reading that high lasted a single week before returning to a level closer to the 1.06-1.18 range of Weeks 32-34.

Median Trust Recovers to 465

The weekly median rose from 200 to 465, a 132.5% recovery that lifts it back into the Provisional tier (400-599), though still below the 563-573 range of Weeks 34, 35 and 37.
Week 38 brought a rebound in volume without a rebound in breadth. 17,001 new agents registered – up 74.5% from Week 37’s 9,745 – but unique owner wallets rose only 10.2% to 7,405, so agents per owner jumped to 2.30, the highest since Week 31’s 2.54. Median trust score fell 65.0% to 200, the bottom of the Elevated Risk tier.

Week 38 Analysis

Registrations Rebound, but Owners Barely Move

Week 38 added 7,256 more registrations than Week 37 but only 684 more unique owners – roughly 10.6 additional agents for every additional owner. The rebound therefore came overwhelmingly from owners who registered multiple agents rather than from new entrants. Volume is still well below the 24,000-plus weeks of Weeks 34-36.

Agents-Per-Owner Reaches 2.30, the Highest Since Week 31

The ratio rose from 1.45 to 2.30, a 58.3% jump and the highest reading since Week 31’s 2.54; no week in between has been higher. Across the series, only six weeks have topped 2.0 agents per owner (Weeks 5, 6, 7, 22, 31 and now 38), and in five of those six the median trust score landed on exactly 200 – the exception being Week 6, at 536.

Median Trust Falls to 200

The weekly median dropped from 572 to 200, a 65.0% fall and the lowest reading since Week 31, which also posted 200. The median has now landed on exactly 200 in eight of the 34 weeks tracked. Compared with Week 36’s record 918 two weeks earlier, the median has fallen from the Sovereign tier to the bottom of the Elevated Risk tier in two weeks.

Data covers ERC-8004 agent registrations and Agent Trust Score assessments. Week 37 = week ending Sunday, September 13, 2026.

Week 37 was a sharp contraction. 9,745 new agents registered – down 59.7% from Week 36’s 24,173 and the lowest weekly total since Week 25’s 5,948. Median trust score dropped 37.7% to 572, handing back almost all of Week 36’s record 918 and returning to the Provisional tier, in line with the 563-573 range of Weeks 34 and 35.

Week 37 Analysis

Registrations Fall 60% to the Lowest Level Since Week 25

9,745 new registrations ends a run of high-volume weeks: Weeks 34, 35 and 36 had each registered more than 24,000 agents. The drop of 14,428 agents in one week leaves Week 37 below every weekly total since Week 25, though it is well above the 3,635 low of Week 8. Unique owners fell by a slightly smaller proportion (-50.7%), so agents per owner eased.

Median Trust Gives Back Almost All of the Record

The weekly median fell from 918 to 572, a 37.7% decline. That puts it within a point of Week 35’s 573 and close to Week 34’s 563, which suggests Week 36’s record was an exceptional cohort rather than the start of a new baseline. The median rose 345 points in Week 36 and fell 346 in Week 37, the largest up-and-back move in the series (Weeks 5-7 swung 336 points each way).

Agents-Per-Owner Eases to 1.45

Agents per owner fell to 1.45 from 1.77, ending a three-week climb (1.18, 1.61, 1.77). Registrations fell more than owners did, which pulled the ratio down; with only 6,721 owners active in the week, the registration base is also much narrower than the 27,033 owners of Week 34.

Data covers ERC-8004 agent registrations and Agent Trust Score assessments. Week 36 = week ending Sunday, September 6, 2026.

Week 36 set a new high for agent quality even as volume slipped. 24,173 new agents registered – down 18.3% from Week 35’s 29,601, but still the sixth-highest weekly total since tracking began. Unique owner wallets fell faster, down 25.6% to 13,646, lifting the agents-per-owner ratio to 1.77. Median trust score jumped 60.2% to 918, the highest weekly median ever recorded and the first to reach the Sovereign tier (800-1000); the previous high was 644 in Week 26.

Week 36 Analysis

Median Trust Reaches a Record 918

The weekly median rose 60.2% from 573 to 918, 274 points above the previous record of 644 set in Week 26. Because 918 is the median of that week’s registration cohort, more than half of the agents registered in Week 36 scored 800 or higher – the Sovereign tier – which no earlier week had managed. Median trust had stayed between 563 and 573 in each of the two previous weeks, so the move is a sharp break from the recent range.

Registrations Slip but Stay Above 24,000

24,173 new registrations is down 18.3% from Week 35 and the second straight weekly decline from the Week 34 record of 31,979, yet it remains the sixth-highest weekly total recorded. The high-quality cohort therefore arrived at close to peak volume rather than during a lull.

Owners Fall Faster Than Registrations

Unique owners fell 25.6% to 13,646, outpacing the drop in registrations, so agents per owner rose to 1.77 – the third consecutive weekly increase (1.18 in Week 34, 1.61 in Week 35). That is well below the 2.54 recorded in Week 31, when a fleet-style registration event coincided with a median of 200, and this week’s median moved in the opposite direction.

Week 39 saw $67,080,251 extracted from retail investors – down 5.1% from Week 38’s $70,688,513, which was the highest weekly total of 2026. The running total since 2026 tracking began crossed $1 billion in Week 38 and now stands at $1,114,012,303.

Week 39 Analysis

Two Back-to-Back Weeks Above $65M

Weeks 38 and 39 together account for $137,768,764 of extraction, the two largest weekly totals of 2026. Week 39’s $67.1M sits 21.4% above the average of the four weeks before it (Weeks 35-38 averaged $55.2M), and the pullback from Week 38 is modest at 5.1%. Week 38 was the largest week since Week 50 of 2025 ($72.6M), so extraction is now running at a level not seen since December 2025.

More Events, Smaller Average Extraction

Rug pull events rose 14.2% to 14,166 while fraud value fell 5.1%, so the average extraction per event dropped to $4,735 from Week 38’s $5,698 (-16.9%). Even after that decline, $4,735 is the fourth-highest weekly average of 2026, behind Weeks 38, 36 and 29. Week 38’s high average came from fewer, larger events (12,406); Week 39 reverted partway toward a higher count of smaller ones.

Tracked Pools Stay Elevated; Mints Stay in Range

Total pools tracked rose 22.5% to 115,597 after falling 19.5% in Week 38, and the count has now stayed above 90,000 for four consecutive weeks (Weeks 36-39), against 26,377 as recently as Week 34. New pool mints have been far steadier, ranging between 16,402 and 22,622 over the same four weeks. The gap between the two series, which we flagged in earlier reports, has therefore persisted rather than reversed, and total pools should still be read separately from mint activity.

Removed-to-Added Ratio Rises for a Sixth Straight Week

Creators removed $1.55 for every $1.00 they seeded in Week 39 (1.554x), up from 1.545x in Week 38 and 1.526x in Week 37 – the sixth consecutive weekly rise since Week 33’s 1.389x, and the highest ratio since Week 19. The rug-to-mint ratio was 75.4%, essentially level with Week 38’s 75.6% and just below the 2026 high of 76.8% set in Week 35: in every week since Week 35, between 71% and 77% of new pool mints have ended in a confirmed rug pull.

Note on expanded coverage and restated figures: earlier weekly reports covered PancakeSwap on BNB Smart Chain and Uniswap on Ethereum. The tracker now also covers PancakeSwap on Ethereum, Uniswap on Base and Polygon, and SushiSwap on Ethereum, Base and Polygon (all pool versions), and the added coverage has been imported back across earlier weeks. Every weekly figure in this article therefore reflects the expanded scope and is higher than originally reported for the same week. Running totals are recalculated by summing every weekly value since 2026-W01 on this basis, so they are higher than in previous weekly reports (for example, $949,401,987 through Week 37 in our Week 37 report versus $976,243,539 here). Week 37 shows 16,042 events and $36,627,957 above, compared with 13,718 events and $36,172,288 originally reported. All figures use the corrected USD-only extraction methodology adopted 2026-08-05.

About This Tracker

ChainAware.ai’s weekly rug pull tracker monitors liquidity removal fraud across PancakeSwap on BNB Smart Chain and Ethereum, and Uniswap and SushiSwap on Ethereum, Base and Polygon, covering all pool versions. Rug pull fraud is defined as the USD-equivalent value of liquidity removed by the pool creator that exceeds the USD-equivalent value of liquidity added by the creator – a net extraction event, measured in USD-side value only. The tracker uses ChainAware’s predictive rug pull detection engine, which achieves 90.1% detection accuracy in V3 – see the full Rug Pull Detector methodology for how the model scores deployer wallets and liquidity events.

Data covers PancakeSwap (BNB Smart Chain and Ethereum), Uniswap (Ethereum, Base and Polygon), and SushiSwap (Ethereum, Base and Polygon), all pool versions. Week 38 = week ending Sunday, September 20, 2026.

Week 38 saw $70,688,513 extracted from retail investors – up 93.0% from Week 37’s $36,627,957 and the highest weekly total of 2026. It is the largest week since Week 50 of 2025 ($72.6M). The rebound came from fewer, larger events: rug pulls fell 22.7% to 12,406, so the average extraction per event rose to $5,698, also the highest of the year. The running total since 2026 tracking began passed $1 billion this week and now stands at $1,046,932,052.

Week 38 Analysis

Fraud Value Nearly Doubles to the Highest Week of 2026

Extraction rose 93.0% week over week to $70.7M after Week 37’s low of $36.6M, and finished 46.7% above the average of the previous four weeks (Weeks 34-37 averaged $48.2M). No week since Week 50 of 2025 ($72.6M) has been larger. Within 2026, Week 38 now sits above the previous peak of Week 36’s $62.0M. The running total crossed $1 billion for the first time this week, as Week 38’s $70.7M lifted the cumulative figure from $976.2M to $1.047B.

Fewer, Larger Events Drive the Rebound

Rug pull events fell 22.7% to 12,406 while fraud value rose 93.0%, so the average extraction per event jumped 149.6% to $5,698 from $2,283 in Week 37 – the highest weekly average of 2026, ahead of Week 36’s $5,008. Creators also deployed more capital: liquidity added rose 86.0% to $129.6M and liquidity removed rose 88.4% to $200.3M, both the highest weekly totals of 2026. Week 37’s pattern of many small events has reversed into a week of larger ones.

Pools and Mints Retreat From Week 37

Total pools tracked fell 19.5% to 94,378 and new pool mints fell 27.5% to 16,402, back to roughly the 16,000 level seen in Weeks 35 and 36 after Week 37’s 22,622. Total pools remain far above the 26,377 recorded in Week 34, so the elevated pool counts first noted in earlier reports have not unwound.

Removed-to-Added Ratio Rises for a Fifth Straight Week

Creators removed $1.55 for every $1.00 they seeded (1.545x), up from 1.526x in Week 37 and the fifth consecutive weekly rise since Week 33’s 1.389x. It is the highest ratio since Week 20. The rug-to-mint ratio rose to 75.6% from 70.9%, the second-highest reading of 2026 behind Week 35’s 76.8%.

Week 37 shows 16,042 events and $36,627,957 above, compared with 13,718 events and $36,172,288 originally reported.

Week 36 Analysis

Running Total Crosses $900M

The cumulative extraction figure crossed $900M this week, reaching $913,190,904 since tracking began. It took roughly 4 weeks to go from $800M to $900M (W34 to W36), a faster pace than the approximately 6 weeks it took to move from $700M to $800M (W28 to W34) – reflecting the acceleration in weekly fraud values seen across the past month.

Total Pools Nearly Double Again, Extending a Two-Week Surge

101,063 total pools tracked is a 58.7% jump from Week 35’s already-record 63,693, and marks the second consecutive week the pool count has roughly doubled – up from 23,025 just two weeks ago, a more than fourfold increase in that span. New pool mints, by contrast, rose only 4.7% to 16,643, a far more modest pace of growth. As in Week 35, this divergence suggests the total-pools figure is being driven substantially by existing pools re-entering the tracked dataset rather than a proportional wave of fresh token launches – a pattern now established across two consecutive weeks and worth continued monitoring.

Average Extraction Per Event Rises Sharply

Rug pull events held essentially flat at 12,213 (+0.7%), while fraud value rose 20.0% – meaning this week’s growth came almost entirely from larger individual extractions rather than more of them. Average extraction per event rose to $5,073, up 19.2% from Week 35’s $4,256, the highest average per event recorded since the tracker adopted its current methodology. The removed-to-added liquidity ratio also climbed to 1.514x, a new high, up from 1.472x last week.

Data covers PancakeSwap V2, PancakeSwap V3, Uniswap V2, and Uniswap V3. Week 37 = week ending Sunday, September 13, 2026.

Week 37 broke the four-week streak of rising fraud values. $36,172,288 was extracted from retail investors – down 41.6% from Week 36’s $61,963,555 – even as rug pull events climbed 12.3% to 13,718, a new high for the current tracked window. New pool mints also rose 13.5% to 18,892. The running total since tracking began now stands at $949,401,987, closing in on the $1B mark.

Week 37 Analysis

Fraud Value Falls Sharply Even as Events and Mints Both Rise

The 41.6% drop in extracted fraud is the largest single-week decline recorded since the tracker adopted its current methodology, and it comes despite rug pull events rising 12.3% to a new high of 13,718 and new pool mints rising 13.5% to 18,892. This is a clear break from the pattern of the prior four weeks, where fraud value consistently outpaced or matched event growth. Average extraction per event fell to $2,637, down 48.0% from Week 36’s $5,072 – by far the lowest average per event in the tracked window – indicating this week’s rug pulls were, on average, considerably smaller in scale even though there were more of them.

Total Pools Growth Moderates Sharply

Total pools tracked rose 9.9% to 112,329, a far more modest increase than the roughly 59-172% weekly jumps seen in each of the prior two weeks. This suggests the unusual pool-count surge that characterized Weeks 35 and 36 has largely run its course, with growth this week driven proportionally by new mints (+13.5%) rather than a disproportionate influx of existing pools re-entering the dataset – a healthier-looking pattern than the prior two weeks’ divergence.

Rug-to-Mint Ratio and Removed-to-Added Ratio Hold Roughly Steady

The rug-to-mint ratio eased slightly to 72.6% from 73.4%, remaining in the elevated 70%+ range that has held since Week 34. The removed-to-added liquidity ratio ticked up marginally to 1.521x from 1.514x, continuing its gradual multi-week climb even as the absolute dollar figures on both sides of that ratio fell sharply from last week’s levels.

Data covers ERC-8004 agent registrations and Agent Trust Score assessments. Week 35 = week ending Sunday, August 30, 2026.

Week 35 registrations eased slightly after last week’s record surge. 29,601 new agents registered – down 7.4% from Week 34’s all-time high of 31,979, but still the second-highest weekly total on record. Unique owner wallets fell more sharply, down 32.1% to 18,344, pushing the agents-per-owner ratio up to 1.61 – the highest concentration level since Week 31’s fleet-registration spike. Median trust score held essentially flat, up 1.8% to 573, comfortably inside the Provisional tier. The full indexed agent population now stands at 470,961, up 51,179 from last week – notably more than this week’s own registration count, suggesting some of the increase reflects backfilled registrations from prior weeks rather than new activity alone.

Week 35 Analysis

Registrations Cool Slightly From an All-Time High

29,601 new registrations is down modestly from Week 34’s record 31,979, but still comfortably the second-highest weekly total the tracker has recorded, well above the 10,000-20,000 range that characterized most of July and early August. Unlike Week 34, where registrations and owners moved in near-lockstep, this week’s owner count fell much faster than registrations – a divergence worth watching closely next week.

Agents-Per-Owner Ratio Climbs to Its Highest Level Since Week 31

At 1.61 agents per owner, Week 35 marks a clear jump from Week 34’s 1.18 and the highest ratio recorded since Week 31’s 2.54 fleet-registration spike. Because registrations fell only modestly while unique owners dropped by nearly a third, this week’s activity looks more concentrated among fewer distinct wallets than last week’s broad-based surge – though at 1.61 it remains far short of Week 31’s more extreme concentration level.

Median Trust Score Holds Steady

Median trust score ticked up slightly to 573 from 563, essentially flat week-over-week and continuing to sit near the best levels recorded since Week 26. Unlike prior instances where rising concentration (higher agents-per-owner) coincided with falling trust quality, this week’s uptick in concentration did not come with a corresponding dip in trust – a combination that breaks from the pattern seen in Week 31, when a similar concentration spike coincided with the lowest median trust score on record (200).

The population increase this week (51,179) exceeds this week’s own registration count (29,601), indicating some backfilled registrations from prior weeks are included in the total.

Trust Flag Breakdown: What the Full Agent Population Looks Like

The full indexed agent population now stands at 470,961 agents across eight chains, up from 419,782 last week. Here is the updated trust flag breakdown across that entire population.

Sybil-farm flagged agents continued easing as a share of the population, from 17.05% to 15.41% – the third consecutive week of decline in this metric even as the absolute count rose to 72,555 (+981). FEEDER_UNKNOWN followed the same pattern, falling from 7.82% to 7.36% of the population despite an absolute increase of 1,836 agents. This continues the trend seen last week: a growing population combined with a shrinking farm-flagged share, consistent with the recent registration waves skewing toward more broadly distributed, less farm-like activity.

The most serious flags remain rare and largely stable in absolute terms: 774 agents have an owner funded by a confirmed rug pull operator (up 5 from last week), and 61 agents are controlled directly by a wallet with a confirmed rug pull history (unchanged). Confirmed CEX-funded owners rose slightly to 2,825 agents but slipped as a population share to 0.60%. Honeypot-linked flags remain at zero, and the structural multisig-council flags remain negligible.

Data is updated weekly alongside ChainAware’s PancakeSwap/Uniswap rug pull tracker.
