Rug Pull News Week 30 2026 – $56.8M Extracted, Fraud Cools as Extraction Efficiency Declines

Data covers PancakeSwap V2, PancakeSwap V3, Uniswap V2, and Uniswap V3. Week 30 = week ending Sunday, July 26, 2026.

Week 30 brought a genuine cooldown in rug pull fraud. $56,827,420 was extracted across 6,546 rug pull events – a 15.9% decline from Week 29’s $67,562,779. Unlike recent weeks where a drop in fraud value was driven mainly by fewer pools being created, this week fraud fell faster than activity: pools, mints, and rug events all declined only modestly (roughly 3-7%), while the amount extracted per event and the overall extraction efficiency both dropped more sharply. The W1-W30 cumulative total now stands at $1,302,011,117.

Week 30 Analysis

Fraud Fell Faster Than Activity – A Genuine Cooldown

Total pools fell 7.3% (10,896 to 10,099), new pool mints fell 7.3% (10,523 to 9,755), and rug events fell just 3.9% (6,812 to 6,546) – all modest declines. Fraud value, by contrast, fell 15.9%, more than double the rate of the activity decline. This is a different pattern than Week 29, where activity contracted much faster than fraud value and per-event extraction actually rose. Week 30 shows the reverse: roughly similar activity levels, but each event extracted meaningfully less on average.

Average fraud per rug event fell from $9,918 in Week 29 to $8,681 in Week 30 – a 12.5% decline. Combined with rug events themselves falling only 3.9%, this points to a broader base of lower-value extractions this week rather than a small number of high-value operators driving the numbers.

Removed-to-Added Ratio Drops for the First Time in Four Weeks

The removed-to-added liquidity ratio fell to 1.412x in Week 30, down from 1.520x in Week 29 – a 7.2% decline and the first drop after three consecutive weeks of the ratio climbing (1.466x in W27, 1.508x in W28, 1.520x in W29). Notably, liquidity added by creators actually rose 6.4% week-on-week to $138.1M, while liquidity removed fell 1.3% to $194.9M. Creators seeded more liquidity this week but extracted a smaller multiple of it – the clearest single signal that extraction efficiency genuinely cooled rather than simply the number of active operators shrinking.

Rug-to-Mint Ratio Still Elevated

Despite the cooldown in extraction efficiency, the rug-to-mint ratio – the share of newly minted pools that end in a rug pull – actually edged up to 67.1% in Week 30, from 64.7% in Week 29. For every 10 pools launched this week, roughly 6.7 ended in a liquidity extraction event, continuing the elevated conversion rate seen over the past several weeks. A smaller pool of new launches did not translate into a cleaner launch environment – it simply meant less value was extracted per rug on average.

About This Tracker

ChainAware.ai’s weekly rug pull tracker monitors liquidity removal fraud across PancakeSwap V2 and V3 on BNB Smart Chain and Uniswap V2 and V3 on Ethereum. Rug pull fraud is defined as liquidity removed by the pool creator that exceeds liquidity added by the creator – a net extraction event. The tracker uses ChainAware’s predictive rug pull detection engine, which achieves 90.1% detection accuracy in V3 – see the full Rug Pull Detector methodology for how the model scores deployer wallets and liquidity events. Data is updated weekly. Historical data from W1-W22 covers PancakeSwap V2 only; multi-venue tracking expanded from W23 onward.
