Wallet Rank¶
Wallet Rank is ChainAware's consolidated reputation score for crypto wallets. It compares your wallet against 14M+ others across Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Solana, Base, and Haqq. Lower numbers mean higher quality — like a leaderboard where #1 is the best.
It combines ten parameters into a single, manipulation-resistant signal of wallet quality.
Why Wallet Rank Exists¶
Most on-chain metrics are easy to fake. Wallet age can be created retroactively through airdropping to old addresses. Token balances can be inflated temporarily. Twitter followers can be bought for $50 per thousand.
Wallet Rank is designed to resist this. The parameters that matter most — Experience, Protocol diversity, and Wallet Age — require sustained real on-chain activity over years. There is no shortcut.
The 10 Parameters¶
1. Experience¶
Depth and breadth of on-chain history. How many protocols, chains, and transaction types has this wallet engaged with? Long-term active users score far higher than recent or thin participants.
2. Risk Willingness¶
Inferred psychological readiness to take financial risk, based on actual behaviour — new protocol adoption, leverage usage, speculative token exposure.
3. Risk Capability¶
Financial capacity to absorb risk. Asset size, diversification, and portfolio composition.
4. Predicted Trust (Fraud Score)¶
AI fraud detection achieving 98% accuracy on Ethereum. Identifies connections to known fraud patterns, wash trading, phishing, and money laundering. A poor trust score overrides other positive metrics.
5. Intentions¶
Predicted near-term behavioural trajectory. What will this wallet likely do next — trade, stake, bridge, borrow?
6. Transaction Categories¶
Distribution of activity across DeFi lending, DEX trading, NFTs, bridging, staking, and governance. Breadth of category engagement signals sophistication.
7. Protocols¶
Number and variety of distinct protocols used. Interacting across multiple protocol categories on multiple chains scores significantly higher than concentration in one area.
8. AML Analysis¶
Checks for sanctioned address connections, mixer service exposure, and darknet activity. Any flags here impact rank heavily.
9. Wallet Age¶
Time since the wallet's first on-chain transaction. This cannot be artificially accelerated — a wallet created last month cannot claim years of history.
10. Wallet Balance¶
Minimum threshold of approximately $1,000 USD equivalent. Below this, the wallet lacks sufficient skin-in-the-game to score meaningfully. Above it, balance matters less than activity quality.
What Makes a Good Wallet Rank?¶
The system deliberately favours parameters that are hard to game. A wallet with $1M+ but recent creation and minimal protocol interaction scores poorly. Conversely, a wallet with modest balance, years of diverse DeFi activity, and a clean AML record scores excellently.
The key insight: sustained multi-year on-chain activity across many protocols cannot be fabricated economically. It requires real engagement, real capital deployment, and real time.
Real-World Uses of Wallet Rank¶
Airdrop sybil defence — Filter newly created, low-activity wallets from claiming rewards. Projects use minimum Wallet Rank thresholds to ensure allocations go to genuine participants.
DeFi lending tiers — Protocols like SmartCredit.io use Wallet Rank to offer differentiated terms based on on-chain reputation. Higher-ranked wallets can access better rates or higher limits.
Investor screening — Token sales and IDOs use Wallet Rank to distinguish long-term holders from dump-prone speculators.
Community gating — DAOs weight governance participation toward experienced, high-quality members using Wallet Rank as an objective criterion.
Token quality assessment — Wallet Rank underlies Token Rank, which measures the median Wallet Rank of all token holders to assess holder base quality.
How to Check Your Wallet Rank¶
- Go to chainaware.ai/audit
- Select your blockchain
- Paste your wallet address
- Click Audit
Your Wallet Rank appears in the results alongside all ten parameters. No signup required.
Once you have your rank, you can share it with trading partners, DAOs, or protocols as proof of your on-chain reputation.
